HCL Shows How It's Broadcasting The Volvo Ocean Race Live From The Sea

The Volvo Ocean Race first took to the waters in 1973 and today the tradition remains strong, providing what it calls, "the ultimate test and a human adventure like no other."

This year, India-based solution provider HCL Technologies is partnering with Volvo Ocean Race for the first time, providing technology that aims to make the race safer and more interactive than ever before.

"Our goal is to bring people right into the real thick of what’s taking place," said Arthur Filip, executive vice president of sales transformation and marketing at HCL.

Technology like 5G wireless and drones have made it possible to stream live from the boats.
