IC analysis and inspection lab Material Science Service (MSScorps) is upbeat about its longer-term business prospects, citing brisk demand for advanced packaging and third-generation semiconductors.

Specializing in materials analysis (MA) services, MSScorps has expanded its share of Taiwan's MA market segment to more than 60%. Sales from orders demanding MA services have also accounted for over 80% of MSScorps' total revenue, said the company, adding that robust chip demand for MA services will continue to drive its sales growth in the longer term.

Demand for MA services will be driven further by advanced ICs and third-generation semiconductor materials, MSScorps indicated. The company added it is eyeing a bigger presence in China, which has stepped up the development of its homegrown IC industry sectors including third-generation semiconductors.

MSScorps has set up a subsidiary in Nanjing to service local chipmaking industry supply chains. The subsidiary is poised to generate stable sales increases in the next several years, said the Taiwan-based company.

In addition, MSScorps continues to grow its failure analysis (FA), reliability analysis (RA) and surface analysis (SA) services to satisfy customers' diverse requirements and boost further its business scale, the IC analysis lab continued.
