ScandAll Pro V2 - Professional scanning with the simplicity of ScanSnap
The fi-6140Z comes bundled with new ScandAll PRO V2 Premium scanning software, which features embedded zonal OCR functionality, multi-streaming options and a wealth of output format including password protected PDF and PDF/A formats. In daily operation tasks the user can be supported by setting up job routine profiles that can easily be ex- and imported by multiple scan stations.

ScandAll PRO V2 also provides automatic job separation functionality using separator sheets with printed barcodes and patch codes to sort image data from multiple page feeds into user-defined files. This function has been developed for fast batch scanning even of mixed document loads, improving overall work efficiency.

ScandAll PRO V2 Premium features job separation and indexing functionality using 2D codes (matrix codes) and is bundled as standard with fi-6140Z and fi-6240Z.

ScandAll PRO additionally features a powerful new "ScanSnap mode" function that makes the device perfect for personal productivity office tasks, which do not require special scan settings. At the press of a button you can capture the document to a PDF and automatically drop it in document or picture folders. ScanSnap mode also lets you scan straight into Microsoft® Word, Excel or PowerPoint documents, send your document to Microsoft® SharePoint, and even edit the PDF before it's saved.

Superior Feeding, Intelligent Functions
The fi-6140Z incorporates an advanced 50-sheet automatic document feeder based on brake roller technology rather than a pad. This, along with intelligent ultrasonic multi feed detection, provides much more reliable and controllable feeding of a wide range of papers and other media. An A4 flatbed is also provided for digitizing a wide variety of document types. Dual CCD sensors enable duplex scanning at up to 600 dpi optical (1200dpi interpolated) and the scanner offers deskew, advanced autocropping as well as a host of intelligent functions to bring document capture productivity to the desktop.

Extended document processing options
An A3 carrier sheet is included as standard to enable A3 document scanning through the A4 automatic document feeder.

The fi-6140Z can be used to apply virtual imprints onto the document images, including information about date and time of scanning.
