IP68-Rated Ends Resist Dust and Water
Both HDMI connectors are protected by a molded, dust-resistant, IP68-rated watertight hood and caps. The IP68 rating means the connectors can endure immersion in 1.5 meters of water for up to 60 minutes with no damage or decline in performance. The crush-resistant stainless steel armored tube protects the cabling against excessive force. The DuPont Kevlar resists heat and provides tensile strength to the cable when it is being bent or pulled. This type of cable construction provides ideal protection in outdoor applications where the cable is exposed to crushing, cuts and abrasion.
